We went for Harrison's 15 month check up today.
weight: 21 lbs 6 oz (5th-10th%)
Hopefully this was a bad reading, he wouldn't be still long enough so we had to try to weigh him several times. This is a drop from 23 lbs 8 oz at his 12 month check up which was 2 1/2 months ago. We go back in 6 weeks to check his weight again.
length: 32 3/4 inches (75th-90th%)
This is an increase of 2 3/4 inches in 2 1/2 months.
head circumference: 19 inches (75th%)
Harrison does not have a middle speed. He is either wide open running around & getting into everything in sight or he is sleeping (which he does for anywhere from 10-12 hours at night & naps 2 hours per day at daycare & 3-4 hours per day when we are home).
He eats anything & everything. He is working with spoons & forks but still thinks if a plate is in front of him he should pick it up & bang it on the table. He loves all fruits & vegetables. He is still not very fond of meat. He drinks 4-5 cups of whole milk per day. We cut out juice due to bad diaper rashes. He prefers to have his meals on the go, meaning leave food out for him to pick up as he runs by the plate. He does not like to be confined for very long.
He is saying mama, dada, uh oh, bye bye, thank you, cup, one, & his version of many other words. We are working on consistently pointing to body parts & making animal sounds. He can definitely tell you what Finn says (so instead of barking like a normal dog, he howls).
He loves to give sugar & blow kisses.
He is wearing a size 4 diaper, 12 month pants (his waist is tiny!), 18 month shirts & one-pieces, size 5 shoes.
We have gotten rid of the pacifier except for bed time (unless he is unusually fussy).
He has 3 top teeth & 2 bottom teeth, but he is currently cutting 1 tooth on top & 1 on bottom. He absolutely loves to brush his teeth. He giggles non-stop!
He still loves bath time, hates to get out of the tub to dry off (this is usually when we brush his teeth to ease the transition).
He loves to read books, often we find him in his room "reading" books to himself.
He still likes peek-a-boo & will now cover his face with his hands until we play with him.
He loves music & dancing. He has his own cds that we listen to in the car & he goes to bed with a lullaby cd at night.
He copies almost everything he sees us do. He is definitely an imitator of actions!
