Bug

Harrison has had his first experience with the stomach bug this past week. It is absolutely NO FUN!!
Brian & I were really leaving him for the first time (we have both stayed away from him one night, but I was only 15 minutes away) to go to a friend's engagement party in the Delta. We took him to Brian's mom's house to drop him off. When I went to pick him up out of his car seat, he vomited all over both of us. Of course, I was ready to cancel our plans & stay home. But I toughed it out, told myself it was just once & we decided to go...
He threw up a few more times that day & once on Sunday. I stayed home with him Monday & he felt awful. I took him to daycare on Tuesday because he was fever free & had not had anymore vomiting. We walked in the door from daycare/work that afternoon & he threw up again. My mom came down to stay with him Wednesday & Thursday. I took him back to daycare on Friday. I got a call about 9:00, which is right after his first bottle, that he had been cranky all morning & had just vomited again! Brian came to get him & took him to the doctor. The doctor claims that it is viral, which I just can't wrap my head around since his symptoms have been so spread out & no one else has gotten sick. We could only feed him Pedialyte until 8:00pm. This only made the ill mood worse. He has been cranky a good bit of the weekend, which we are attributing to the teething process, but no more vomiting thank goodness.

sick baby in his pjs all day

A girl that works with Brian had twin boys last week. She was almost 24 weeks pregnant. Her babies were 1lb 3oz & 1lb 5oz at birth. They are both in ICU on the ventilator. She was discharged from the hospital on Thursday, she was told the babies probably won't go home until September. Please pray for this sweet family. A story like this puts everything into perspective. Here I was worried about a stomach bug & a little vomiting...

our first boo-boo! (we think this came from always kicking his leg in his boucy seat)

Every week brings something new & exciting with this precious little boy. We are having so much fun with him!

Definitely Rolling...

Harrison has mastered the back to belly roll. He still won't roll from his belly to his back. I think because he is trying to get his knees underneath him to scoot! Almost every morning when we go to wake Harrison up, he is on his stomach. We always put him to sleep on his back! He is still snuggly & cuddly, but is getting a little fussy this week - we are pretty sure he is getting a tooth.

Sally gave me some tips on making baby food. I made Harrison sweet potatoes this weekend. We will try them this week, so pictures to come!

Walking?

On Mother's Day, we went to my mother-in-law's house for lunch with the family. While we were there we decided to try Harrison in our cousin Olivia's old walker. We expected him to dangle in the seat & play with the toys on the tray. I was horrified to see him scoot his little tail across the room!

flat footed on the floor!

I thought that cute little bottom needed a close up!

Bath Time

Harrison is really starting to enjoy bath time. Here are a few pictures from a bath this week.

I should take a picture of the mess on the floor after his bath from all the water he splashes out. It is almost time for us to move from the sink to the tub I think. He used to squirt us when we changed his diapers, now it is everytime we put him in the tub!
